Charlene Kate Events (CKE) is a growing boutique event marketing, management, and planning agency based in Seattle, WA. We manage a variety of global events ranging from conferences, meetings, trade shows, sponsorship activations, corporate meetings, and more.

What you'll be doing… 

The Marketing Event Coordinator will support our growing B2B global events. This position will work closely with the founder, clients, partners, and vendors to plan and execute high quality in-person experiences that delight and meet client event marketing objectives and goal.

Some of the responsibilities you’ll be doing will include (but is not limited to)...

  • Pre-event planning and process (e.g. task management timeline, budget preparation and reconciliation)

  • Concept and idea generation of marketing collateral (e.g. signage, swag, stage design) and experiences

  • Venue and vendor research, bidding, negotiation and coordination

  • Event technology coordination (e.g. ticketing platform, event app, lead scanning)

  • Build list of all event listing sites and update with event info

  • Assist in run of show and production

  • Assist in hotel sourcing, coordination and logistics.

  • Assist in speaker and sponsor communication, management and logistics (e.g. assist with hotel and travel, thank you cards and gifts

  • Note taking of weekly planning meetings with clients

  • Respond to event customer inquiries

  • Onsite and day of setup and coordination

  • Overall end-to-end event coordination

  • Technically savvy. Strong experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Asana and similar project management tools. You don’t shy away from opportunities to get into technology – and you can learn it quickly.

  • Go-getter. Motivated to learn and grow with a fast-growing boutique agency. Ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes. Competing priorities and ambiguity do not slow you down.

  • Experienced. 2-4 years of experience in event planning, event marketing or event management. Experience or understanding with marketing communications and creating marketing content (newsletters, blogs, social media).


  • Contract to FTE hire. The Marketing Event Coordinator is an contractor position with opportunity for FTE hire

  • Location. Seattle, WA

  • Travel. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for site visits and events
